Hi All,
Lincoln Rugby Football Club has for the first time started a Senior Ladies team, beginning with training on a Wednesday night at 7:30pm at The Lindum. The Lincoln Ladies team hope to become an integral part to the senior club. It is unusual for a Rugby Club to have a woman’s team, and Lincoln RFC believe that it will be a positive step forward for the club, promoting female participation throughout all age groups within the club, in what is a male dominated sport.
Initially aiming to field a single side there is plenty of room for expansion in to multiple teams with the relocation now under way, the team is also looking to work along side other local teams who are looking to start ladies teams. Once the senior team is firmly established at the club they hope to draw in more recruits for the mini and junior sections who will in future years play for the senior team.
With only a few clubs fielding ladies teams across Lincolnshire, the team also hopes to draw players in from all across the county to join the growing team which already includes members of the RAF as well as the senior men’s club physio, more information about the ladies team will follow shortly.
