Tuesdays 7 to 8:30pm @ Lincoln RFC, LN2 2RS
Welcome to Lincoln Touch, a non profit organisation affiliated with Lincoln Rugby Club.

Created and run by the late Michael 'Beardie' Beard and a group of volunteers, the Touch section was set up for players wanting to compete in the sport of Touch, as well as to bring people into rugby and keep contact players interested in the off season. Touch is an unusual sport in that men and women play alongside each other in mixed teams. It also has a wide age range, from players in their teens to those who are considerably older. In short, everyone is welcome!
The first Touch season ran in 2011/2012 and the 2012/2013 season was a roaring success. Two tournaments were held during this period, with donations being given to charity. A tournament on the Jubilee weekend raised money for the Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance, while one in August raised more for the Alzheimer's Society.
In 2014/2015 and 2015/2016 Lincoln Touch competed in the England Touch Association’s Development Touch Series (DTS). This took us to tournaments in Manchester, Southampton and various other locations around the country. In 2015 Lincoln Rugby Club hosted the finals of the National Touch Series (NTS) and the Challenge Touch Series (CTS), the top tier competitions at national level for Touch. Lincoln Touch won promotion to CTS for the 2016/2017 season.
Training/Social Touch takes place on Tuesdays 7-8.30pm at LRFC and is open to men and women aged 13+, from seasoned rugby players to those who have never held a rugby ball before. Players often stay for a meal/drink in the clubhouse afterwards. Come along and get fit, learn some new skills and make new friends! (All you need for your first session are standard sports kit and trainers, although we recommend getting hold of some rugby or football boots with moulded studs/blades - not metal ones - before too long!)
Your first two sessions are free as 'taster' sessions - after that we ask you to become a member of Lincoln RFC (£100 per year), or pay £2 per session on a 'pay and play' basis. (NB only those who have club membership can travel for tournaments - please ask for more info on what membership includes.)
